So I apologize in advance for two things: 1) this email is going to be short
2) no pictures :( I kept forgetting to charge my camera this week BUT I PROMISE I WILL SEND SOME
This week was a good week, however, I feel the need to inform my friends and family about a very interesting health "scare" I had. Well not scare persay but still.
On Thursday of this past week I was just doing my normal thing, getting around for the day and such and I bent over to grab something off the floor like normal people do and suddenly, a pain shot through my lower back. It hurt so bad and I couldn't stand up straight or walk. And I'm not being dramatic, it was the most intense pain I've ever felt. I could barely walk and sit and stand and no position I was in could stop the pain. But I tried to be normal, we went and did weekly planning where I just sat in a chair the whole time and the pain still would not ease up. I walked around like a grandma and needed the help of my companion. Finally I stopped being stubborn and called the mission nurse and she told me that I had hurt my sciatic nerve and that I needed to take it easy the rest of the day. So I got a blessing and rested, the fetal position ended up being the only non painful position to be in. The next day we went to the temple and I was still in pain so you can imagine how fun it was to do a session that way ... :P. I was able to go to the chiropractor who fixed it for me so now I'm okay. I still have a dull pain in my lower back but it's much much better. I can walk and sit and run and do normal things. I just have to be careful about bending over now. So all in all, I"m okay. I just felt the need to inform you all.
Otherwise, this week was really good. There were a couple cooler days, we were able to go to the temple (which is always so awesome to do), we had some good teaching opportunities (which lessened near the end of the week because it was a holiday weekend haha), and we saw lots of miracles. A woman who has recently started coming back to church in one of our wards, got up and bore her testimony. Her husband who is not a member of the church has started to come with her as well and we are hoping we can start teaching him here soon.
Otherwise, that was it! Like I said, sorry this was short but I will add one more thing. I would like to send out a huge thanks and love to all the service men and women serving throughout the world. I am so grateful for the freedoms that we enjoy in this country and that great men and women were inspired throughout history to bring the pieces together and to create a country where the Restoration of the gospel was possible. I'm grateful for my own father, for the sacrifices he has made for this country and for everything he has taught me. Remember our freedoms and remember the God who made those freedoms possible through the inspiration of brave men and women!! Have a fantastic fourth everyone and eat all of the food!
