17th Group Email

Good morning everyone who I've tagged on my group email list!!!!!! Hope life is going good!!! Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. To all the mothers out there: I truly appreciate everything you've done, I think Jeffrey R. Holland sums it up best with this quote:

"Today I declare from this pulpit what has been said here before: that no love in mortality comes closer to approximating the pure love of Jesus Christ than the selfless love a devoted mother has for her child." (Jeffrey R. Holland; 2015 October General Conference"

My own mother has been such an inspiration to me. She truly has molded me into the person I've become and I give my completely devoted thanks and love to her for everything she has done. For devoting her life to motherhood, the highest calling that could ever exist. Motherhood is noble, don't ever forget that.

This week was really full of miracles, it truly was. We've been working hard and working with the leadership of our wards and because of that we've picked up two new investigators just in this week alone. People's hearts are softening and people truly want to know more about the meaning of life and find answers to their questions. It's incredible. And we've honestly found so many of those people due to service. Service is so incredible, it truly does soften our hearts and the people around us.
"If ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." (Mosiah 2:17) Service truly brings miracles.

OH and for those of you dying to know because I haven't written a group email in a couple weeks (#guilty D:), I am in the same area but I'm no longer Spanish speaking. My new companion is Sister Olson and she's from Canada, she's really really awesome and a really hard worker. We cover two wards in English now and we're just seeing the work pour in. We've worked really hard and established really good trust in our wards. One of our bishops melted our hearts this week by getting up to talk to the congregation about missionary work and telling the ward that they had "the two best missionaries in the entire church." He's so excited about all the work that we've been doing and it's really awesome.

Anyway, seeing lots of miracles, laughing a lot, and loving the missionary life. Hope everyone has a fantastic week and remembers who they are. Don't forget your divine origin and your eternal purpose, this life is the time to prepare to meet God and the things we do here are only to prepare us for the eternities. Don't ever forget that.

Love you all!
Sister Burden
