Holo everyone. :) Hope everyone had a fantastic week with the start of the New Year underway. Gym memberships are higher than ever, stores are only selling healthy foods and bumping up the price of said healthy foods, temple attendance has sky rocketed, and people are just plain trying to be better ... until about March. March is when everyone says "eh good enough" and "the holidays are close right? I can eat this cookie" and other such things. Just kidding. But really.
I've been thinking a lot about New Year's goals this week (since I set some of my own) and I realized that I am one of those people that sets goals ... then messes up once and gives up. True story. I realized that one mistake is not the end of the world and do I want to look back at this time and regret giving up so soon? I don't think so. So, I've been going at my goals hard. Hopefully everything works out in the end. :) I'll be keeping with it.
This week was a good week, not a whole lot happened though. We had zone conference where they announced which apostle will be coming to visit us on Friday ... and I about died when they said who it was. It's. Elder. Holland. Oh my gosh I am so excited. It's so cool and zone conference was really good, received a lot of comfort and answers to my prayers. :)
We picked up a new investigator this week named Brittany Grey. :) She's really awesome and she seems genuinely interested so keep her in your prayers. We also scheduled and set up a time for Heidi's baptism. Heidi is doing so well, she had an amazing experience with getting an answer to prayers and she's so excited about everything that we've taught her. The only thing is her health is declining again. Poor thing. So keep her in your prayers as well.
It's crazy to think that transfer calls are this coming Sunday. I've been in this area for 4 months!!!! Wow. That's just insane to think about, after next transfer I will have been out 6 months and a third of the way through my mission. It's going to fast, it's crazy.
This email is short. :) Sorry about that, not a super eventful week. But I'm sure you'll get a long one next week about Elder Holland to make up for it haha. Love you all, thank you so much for the support you've shown me as I've been out. It's really meant the world. This mission is incredible and I'm so grateful to be out here.
