Hello everyone!! Your girl is finally headed to the COAST!! I will be going to Waldport to finish training Sister Fureigh! The craziest part is that her current trainer, Sister Ellsworth, is who I trained in Eagle Point! I'm really excited to go to there, I've been dying to serve on the Oregon coast since I came into the mission. Now I get to finish my mission out there!
With that being said, I'm really sad to be leaving this area and Sister Waite. This ward has become like home and I have met some of my best friends here!
MATT FINALLY CAME TO CHURCH!! He has never been to a church service his whole life, so this was a big step for him. We also taught him the Word of Wisdom and we were sort of nervous about how that would go and it went better than we thought!!! We also figured out that he didnt know how to pray, so I drew out a "prayer burger" and we went through it with him. He then said the closing prayer, and it was SO good. It wasn't the most eloquent, in fact he asked God to "hit him up about baptism" hahaha. He asked for help on things and it was just cool to hear him pray for the first time. I had the strongest impression that God was not only listening intently to Matt, but that he was so happy to hear from him. It was so cool!!
Also, we went to the mall today for P day and Sister Waite decided to piece her ears spur of the moment and it was HILARIOUS. Most spontaneous thing we've done in awhile.
I've been reflecting on my time here and I'm so grateful for the change that this area has helped me experience. I have found the most happiness I have felt on my mission as I've learned to throw myself in the work! It's been tiring and I've had so many awkward moments here hahaha, but it's been so worth it!! Jesus Christ has helped me grow, and I'm so excited to see what else He wants me to learn these last 2 transfers!
"32 Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God." -Moroni 10:32
CATCH ME NEXT WEEK AT THE BEACH!!
