We started the week off right by locking ourselves out of our house and car for a solid 3 hours Tuesday morning, my b. We had to wait for the Elders to get out of a lesson and then pick up our extra key downtown. Let's just say we had a solid companionship study and read a lot in the Book of Mormon. Highly recommend sitting on the pavement surrounded by ants and cicadas in 90 degree weather for 3 hours.
We had a semi discouraging start of the week because we kept finding crazy solid people who really wanted the gospel in their lives, but we found out that each one was outside of our area. We invited one of them to be baptized during our first conversation and he said yes so it was a bummer to pass him off to the elders. BUT we decided to spend a chunk of time tracting and we ended up picking up 3 new people to teach this week. It's the best to go out in faith and find the people God is wanting to place in your path. Plus it's a bonus when you're bffs with your comp and make tracting a hoot.
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT- during ward council yesterday one of the bishopric members shared this thought with us. In preparation for General Conference he was studying 3rd Nephi chapter 27 and invited us to ask two of the questions found in that chapter;
"What will ye that I shall give to you?"
"What do ye desire of me?"
I am excited out of my mind for General Conference. I know that our prophet and his apostles know exactly what we need. I know that if we come to General Conference prepared with questions we will receive answers from our Heavenly Father.
