For starters, José told us that on Wednesday night that he would be moving (outside of our mission boundaries) Saturday morning. So we were a freaking mess. We went by Friday night to say goodbye and it was honestly one of the saddest moments of my whole life. When we got back in the car to leave I just shut the door and literally started crying for 10 minutes because José was leaving us lol. And that might sound totally selfish, but I have so much Christlike love for him and he has been such a huge part of my mission. But, the good news is that we get to send probably the greatest referral of all time.
This week went by quick. We had exchanges which are always THE BEST. One of our STL's went home this last week so we have been in a tri with the other STL for the past couple of days. It has been sooo fun. Things have been going really well in CoMo. The temperature has dropped SO much recently. It's been raining a ton which has been super good since Missorui is kinda in a drought right now. Which is surprising because it's still insanely green literally everywhere. Things are going GOOD.
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT- Ether 6:3 And thus the Lord caused stones to shine in darkness, to give light unto men, women, and children, that they might not cross the great waters in darkness.
I know I talk about the Brother of Jared a lot, but when I read this verse I thought about how much preparation the Brother of Jared put in to find a way to have the Lord bring light. And I think the same applies to us. We all know that we go through different challenges and trials throughout our life, it's inevitable. But we learn from the Brother of Jared that if we put in enough preparation for that time when we do go through trials and are in the dark, then God will provide a light for us. He doesn't expect us to travel blindly through our trials, he expects us to prepare for them before we even encounter them so that He can show us the way through His light. We have to fix the roof while the sun is still shining.
"God sometimes takes us into troubled waters not to drown us, but to cleanse us." If that sounds like it's a Pinterest quote it's because it is, but I totally feel like it relates.
LOTS OF LOVE
