Okay so lol, our funeral home is legit haunted. We had an experience happen to us last week and so our Zone Leaders came over to dedicate our apartment. The girl who lives downstairs started talking to us the other day and she told us about this ghost that lives in her apartment that's scary as heck and so she wants her apartment dedicated too hahah. This is actually so legit because it TOTALLY opens up a door for us to teach her! AND the girl downstairs is Nancy's (lady we just baptized) daughter which makes this whole situation that much better. Whenever Nancy is downstairs she will always text us to come down so we can get to know her daughter more. Technically nobody is supposed to know where the missionaries live but since Pittsfield is so small and everyone knows who we are, literally every single person knows where we live. Also, we got a new neighbor right across from our room who smokes pot every single day so that's awesome. So between a haunted apartment and hitting a deer all in one transfer, it's going to be a miracle in itself if we make it to the end of this #twomoreweeks
On 4/20 we were going to post a picture on Facebook and say, "Why light up on substances that can harm your body when you can light up on the spirit by reading the Book of Mormon?" But then we thought, well would Jesus post that on Facebook? So here we are without a post. (Also that picture of me holding the Book of Mormon backwards literally sums up our 4/20 day, I'm so out of it. Who even knows who I am anymore?)
I'm turning into my mom haha. I literally love cleaning and helping people clean their home. One thing that I've seriously learned since being here is that I never want to be a horder, like at all. And I have the serious urge to start cleaning peoples homes and organizing things for them lol. One of our investigators homes is insanely messy and we are always going over there to help her clean. Part of me really wants to tell her to just leave the house because she gets insanely sidetracked. That way Sister Morgan and I can just knock it out. But that probably won't happen so it's whatever.
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT- I got a total slap in the face during my personal study the other morning haha. Sister Morgan and I have been trying to focus on finding new people to teach and finding is the hardest thing of all time here. So I wrote down a list of things that we could do to find people better and as I was doing it I was thinking, this is dumb because we've tried all of this and people here just aren't interested and anything we do to try to find isn't going to work so we should just not even focus on it. And literally right after I said that to myself I read, "And now remember, my son, that God has entrusted you with these things, which are sacred, which he has kept sacred, and also which he will keep and preserve for a wise purpose in him, that he may show forth his power unto future generations" (Alma 37:14). So, roasted haha. But it's so true, God trusts us to do these things that are sacred and so we need to do them. It was actually awesome to read that. I seriously just sat there and was like, wow Heavenly Father you know me so well lol.
Okay also, Alma 38:3, "I have had joy in thee already." This is my new favorite line in the Book of Mormon. Heavenly Father is so proud of whatever we are doing and loves us SO MUCH. When we go about things with faith, diligence, obedience, and patience, He is going to bless us for it.
