We started out the week cleaning one of our investigators 16-year-old daughter's room and holy cow it took us 5 HOURS to hang up all of her clothes. Pretty much every single person in Pittsfield is a low-key horder and it is SO BAD. After we spent 5 hours sorting through dirty clothes we went and cleaned the town's elementary school- so you could say Tuesday was a service filled day.
The other day, Sister Morgan and I were eating at this restaurant in a part of our area called Louisiana, MO - it's right along the Mississippi River. While we were eating, this 49-year-old man just came up to us and started asking us which church we belonged to. We taught him the Restoration in the middle of the restaurant! We set up an appointment with him and we're really hoping that he's legit interested and not just being a creep lol. It was dang cool though and he seems like a really good guy.
Our ZL's challenged us this week to read the Book of Mormon cover to cover by General Conference, so I've been reading a ton lately and I'm LOVING it.
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT- I was reading in Mosiah about Abinadi and how Alma was literally the only one who believed what he had to say. Abinadi was one of the boldest prophets, yet no one listened to him except Alma.
An old proverb (I think) says, "You can count the number of seeds in a single apple but you can't count the number of apples in a single seed." I LOVE thinking about this! You have absolutely no idea how big of an impact you have on a single person. You literally don't know how it will change their life and the lives of others. The harvest is truly the Lord's. Because of Alma, the gospel was able to spread to SO many people and that's all because of Abinadi. Dang cool.
Pictures:
- this was like 1/8 of the girls clothes lol
- Abraham Lincoln is seriously the biggest deal of all time over here and I think it's the funniest thing ever
- Literally best family ever. They're a part member family and we were able to pick up the dad as an investigator this week. We are SO excited for them!
