Pittsfield, IL

what's good

Okay so pretty much nothing happened this week lol. Our mission switched over to phones which was really exciting. It's so weird! When we got our phones, our zone got together to set them up and I was literally on it for 5 minutes until my head started hurting because I haven't seen a screen for what feels like 4 years. The weather here has been so dang foggy everyday this week which is my favorite thing in the world. We had freezing rain for the first half of the week so it was super icy literally everywhere. I really would tell you a cool story about our investigators or members but seriously, being the only companionship and only having 11 members in your whole area makes that a little hard lol. We've had A LOT of really good lessons with our potential investigators which has been really good and we're getting the work to move along.I'm actually really itching to eat squirrel which is absolutely disgusting. They make squirrel stew and everyone talks about it! We have to wait a few months until squirrel season but I'm totally determined to eat some before I leave Pittsfield. I must be going crazy or something- probably from our funeral home of a house, for real. I OFFICIALLY HIT MY 1 MONTH MARK which is like not a big deal at all but it feels good!!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT- when you read this verse I want you to think of what your wilderness is and what God has asked you to leave behind to travel into the wilderness in order to make it to your "promised land". Omni 1:13 "And they departed out of the land into the wilderness, as many as would hearken unto the voice of the Lord; and they were admonished continually by the word of God; and they were led by the power of his arm through the wilderness." When you go into your own wilderness, God has promised us that He will lead and guide us and we will each be led by the power of His arm. Literally what other promised blessing could you ask for. I think that is SO neat. "Allow Him to make more of you than you can make of yourself on your own." -Ronald A. Rasband
