This is the first week of a new transfer, and it was so busy. Sister Fiso and I have been going 24/7 for the last week and time is flying! We have a couple new elders on the island, ELder Mijangos from Guatemala and Elder Sarsio from Tahiti. They are both so much fun and great missionaries. We saw so many miracles this week. We have been working hard to find people to teach, we were contacting in the sun a lot and I got burnt like three times ( with sunscreen haha). We met lots of great people though so it was worth it. Just yesterday we had a n appointment with a new friend and the spirit was strong, we testified that the gospel of Jesus Christ really can heal us and bless our families as we live it. She was open to our message but did not accept it 100%, as we genuinely listened to her I felt an overwhelming sense of love through the spirit for her. We are hoping to be invited back and serve and share more with her, this experience was a reminder to me that God is aware and loves each of his children with a perfect love. Just after, we went to visit a few of our friends that were next door. We love them a lot but our visits have been a bit negative lately and so we prepared and prayed about how we can determine if we should continue teaching them. As we went they expressed they had missed us a lot and asked us to share a spiritual thought, we shared Ether 12:27 and it touched their hearts. Not only were we able to follow-up with our friends but two other family members joined and we gave each a Book of Mormon! I know God blessed us for persisting and prayerfully visiting our friends, he always prepare a way as we are doing good. I just want to encourage everyone to face life's uncertainties with faith, rely on God and he will guide you through any challenge.
I would love to hear any miracles you all have seen this week :)
Oh and we went to a bird sanctuary today, it was kinda terrifying but we saw beautiful birds. I highly recommend going if any of you visit St.Maarten!
