Hello Everyone!
I hope you are all having an awesome week! It is officially the first week of December which means the first week of Christmas! I love this season, Sister Blomquist and I have been involved with the Light the World initiative. We are encouraging people to look outside of themselves and serve their family, friends and community! There are some awesome videos and ideas on Lighttheworld.org go check it out! It is such a blessing to get to remember and celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ this time of year. On Saturday, December 1st, it was a world wide day of service and we got to go to our dear friends the Jordan's and help with their back yard and Christmas cleaning. It was super fun. Sister Jordan needs a knee replacement so we are happy to go and help them. We also got to switch companions and I got to work with Sister Moore and meet some awesome people and teach a friend Cassey. She is so awesome, she enjoys the Book of Mormon and message we share. She wants to be baptized but not in our church but hopefully she will continue to read and pray about the wonderful message we share. Sister Moore is so fun, she is from Arizona and a hoot!
This Sunday was so great, our friend Carlos is preparing to be baptized on the 15th of December and he usually buses to Church so we bused with him but let me tell you, the buses here are scary. The Lord truly protected us because Sister B's name tag almost fell off and I almost list my bag haha. It was really nice to bus with him, he has not missed a Sunday since we started teaching him. He also showed up to the bus stop with a cake, cookies and snacks and they were all for the Primary children. It was so sweet, and it made them all so happy! I am so grateful for the opportunity to teach and know Carlos. He has really allowed the Gospel of Jesus Christ change him!
Oh and Barbados was crazy on Independance day, a parade, lots of rum and celebration but here is a pic of a true Barbadian haha. She was so nice!
We have our last week in this transfer so on Saturday we find out if Sister B and I get to stay together for Christmas! I just want to invite you all to check out Lighttheworld, and look for an opportunity to serve each day. I know it will bring joy to you and those you serve!

Love Sister MacDonald
