This week we got to pick up the Murray's, the church historian couple. They had travelled to Guadeloupe and were back to collect a few more stories her in Barbados. They interviewed our Branch Mission Leader, Brother Colucci he was the first Bajan missionary for the church! We got to hear his story of serving in Los Angeles and his wonderful testimony. He left the church for a while and did other things but he came back after 30 years and he is such a blessing to us for his support in missionary work.
On sunday the Murray's attended our branch, the Oistins Branch. There is an elder that came earlier than expected he was serving for about 4 months and just got his Visa. He is Tahitian and his name is Elder Mii. He bore his testimony on Sunday and it was really great. He seems very excited to serve and we now have 7 missionaries in our little Branch! After Church we went over to the MacIntosh's they had all of us over and we had Plantain, coconut rice, salmon and spinach cakes. The MacIntosh's are the best cooks!
We taught Akeila their daughter in law that night. We read Mosiah 18 with her, and asked her how she felt about being baptized. She really like the chapter and specifically how the people wanted to be baptized by the proper authority of God. We invited her to be baptized on December 15th and she accepted that date after she had prayed about it. It was such a wonderful experience and I am so happy to get to help her along in her journey in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I am really enjoying being here, I love Barbados and I love the people here. It is such a blessing to get to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love doing his work and representing him
