So the weather in Jarabacoa is a bit cooler than my last area. But it has been hotter because of the hurricane. It is gorgeous, I will send pictures soon. I feel like I am on vacation. It is so tranquilo and more like America. It seems like a vacation resort area. haha There are a lot of really nice houses too. Our apartment is nice, but we don't actually have a dryer, but the hot water is amazing!!!!! Today we basically spent most of p-day cleaning. I bleached the moldy shower curtain so much that the polka dot decorations bleached off too. oops....but hey it is clean!! We are still in the finding process of people to teach. We have found a few but haven't had much success. We shall see. I don't like how the elders are hard core judging us for numbers. I am not the type of missionary to do things just for numbers. But I know we will find people soon. The branch seems ok. My comp and I were made the counselors of the Young Women"s program. We have to plan mutual every week. My new comp is Hermana Maikoski. She reminds me a lot of me when I started the mission. She is from Canton, Georgia. There is a gorgeous river behind our house. we took some pictures. So nothing exciting happened this week except for transfers. We contacted a girl and she just started laughing at us......it was weird. we are going to see her after emailing, so we will see if she has all of her mind. hahahaha mission life is fun. So when you feel discouraged read D&C 123, the last few verses. I really like what it says. Our small efforts do matter and we should just do what we can cheerfully and carry on with faith. It helps me. I will pray and seek diligently for my new investigators and all will be well! I love you so much! Hermana Wasden
