This week was great! We had transfer calls this week. Unfortunately, I am leaving Sister Larsen. We are both so sad because this transfer has been SO fun! We get along so well and always have a blast so leaving her will be sad. She is going to second half train another sister here in Middletown. I will be leaving and going to the Cincinnati YSA (Young Single Adult) ward! I am super excited!! Everyone that I have talked to about it talks about how awesome it is and how much fun I will have! Apparently, we have the nicest apartment in the mission in Cinci YSA, so I'm pretty excited about that. I kinda already knew that I was going to be going there because President Welch told me in my interview last week. He changes his mind sometimes so I wasn't 100% sure but now I am! President said he is excited to have me go there! My new companion will be Sister Frandsen. I don't know her but everyone says she is super awesome! I am pretty sad to leave this area, but I am really happy to be out of training!
So on Friday, we decided to go up to Germantown. We don't go there often because it is pretty far and we have limited miles but we were able to go that day. We have been trying to go up there so we could stop by some people and we were finally able to go visit some potentials in that area. We went to one lady's house and knocked on the door. She was a young lady and it wasn't the lady that was in the area book. Her name is Britney (I like her already), and she is going through a lot. We explained who we are and that we share a message about Christ and His Restored Gospel. She says "It is not a coincidence that you stopped at my door. I'm going through a lot and have really been needing people like you to come." It was awesome! She asked for our card and she gave us her number and asked if we could come back on Tuesday. We were able to invite her to church and the missionary fireside we were having. She wasn't able to come but that's okay. It was such an awesome miracle, Heavenly Father really knows and prepares his children!
On Saturday we had our Social Media Splits day. It is a day set aside for the missionaries to spend as much time with the members as possible doing service or anything with them. The members then post a picture of us on social media with a caption explaining who we are and what we do. It's a pretty good way to share about what us missionaries do. We were able to go to some members houses and do some service. It was super fun!
Yesterday we had a missionary musical fireside. It was focused on the message of the Restoration of the gospel and so some missionaries were asked to give talks. After the talks we had some musical numbers. They were all super good! I played the piano accompaniment for one of them. The fireside was great! It was awesome to see all of the missionaries in the Dayton zone before I leave for the Cincinnati zone.
Well, that is pretty much it for this week! Feel free to send me an email anytime! I love hearing from all of you! My missionary email has changed to email@example.com. My old email still works so if that's the one you have, then it'll still work! Sure love you all!
