Hey everyone! This week has been great! It has been full of blessings and little miracles!
Wednesday we had interviews with President and Sister Welch. We did District Council with our district. It was really awesome! My district leader, Elder Edwardson, is super awesome and he always plans the best stuff for district council. We did role plays with street contacting people which was super helpful. Interviews took basically all day long. My interview with Sister Welch was great! She is the sweetest. President Welch is amazing. He is the best at giving advice and always knows what I need to hear. Every training that we have from President Welch is exactly what I needed and I use it everyday! The interview went great and President helped me out a lot for the week. We went with the Springboro Sisters, Sister Gardner and Sister Outzs, and we got Chick fil a. I haven't had it since I left and it was sooo good. Also, a guy in my ward said that Ohio is building an In-N-Out soon! I don't know where but hopefully somewhere that I get to serve!
Thursday we got an email from our vehicle coordinator, Elder Glutz. We are currently driving a 2016 Nissan Altima and TIWI (a device they use on mission cars) doesn't work in Nissan's for some reason. So, we are getting a new car on Thursday! We are getting a 2019 Chevy Equinox so that will be cool! We are super excited! We are still teaching Cameron. He is progressing so much and he is getting baptized next weekend! Cameron remembers and understands everything we teach him. He is such a good kid! We also met this lady named Betty. She's older and just lost her husband. We offered her service and she actually called us! She had us come over and move a few shoe boxes on the top shelf of her closet and move some towels around for her. It was the cutest thing! She made us some peach cobbler and we visited with her and gave her a Book of Mormon and the Restoration and Plan of Salvation pamphlet. She actually reads them because she's an English teacher. She asked us some deep doctrine questions about temples and polygamy and stuff like that so that was interesting. Betty is super nice! We love her so much!
We are also teaching Ashlee and Liz. They are related to some members in our ward and we have been having lessons in the members home. They have been progressing really well and they want to be baptized! We are working towards March 9 for a baptism goal. The Lord really does prepare these people for us to teach! Teaching people is so much fun! We also just started teaching a lady named Sandra. She is living in an assisted living home and loves to have us come by and read the scriptures to her and wants us to teach her about it all! She said she loves everything we tell her and she is so great!
The weather this week has been super cold! It got to the negatives at night and it snowed only a little bit. Thank goodness, because we FINALLY got to have church this week! It has been cancelled for the past 2 weeks in a row so it's been kind of a bummer. Church this week was great! Cameron and Ashlee both came. The rest of this week is supposed to be in the negatives and very low temperatures so that should be fun! Sister Sheffer and I just laugh it off and try to distract ourselves from how cold we are!
This week we find out the new transfers. Sister Sheffer is going home so I'll get a new trainer which should be fun! Hopefully I get to stay in Middletown!
Well, that's about it for this week. I love and miss you all! Have a great week!
