We are Having a HEATWAVE!!

Dear Bridgett,

First things first, we are in the middle of a heatwave! It is so unbelievably hot right now. Today the temp was 115 and it is supposed to increase gradually all week, by Wednesday it will be 120! That is just wrong. I'm sure if you were here you'd be living in the pool though it is really like a bathtub. Anyway, enjoy your beautiful Washington while we all suffer over here.

Not much to say about the week, pretty much the same. Dad worked, I worked then we came home. Same stuff, different day. I am busy at work but not too busy that I feel like I'm drowning, just enough to keep me with something to do all day. I don't ever sit with down time. We make time for fun though. The other day I was trying to send a pic from my phone to Steph. In doing so I noticed the Rick's (an agent in the office) airdrop was on. Steph and I decided to take a silly pic and send it to him. He had no idea where it was coming from! We have been sending him pics all week just to drive him nuts! He doesn't know how to disable his airdrop. Its pretty funny. We still have rubber band and paperclip wars at least once or twice a week. It breaks up the routine and makes it not such drudgery. We hit a personal goal for the office in sales that we are being treated next Monday to a Diamondbacks game in a suite with food and all the trimmings. Personally I don't care one bit about a baseball game but it gets us out of the office so I'm good with that. We will still be able to do our chatting though as it isn't until around 12:30. Our visit may have to be cut short which I am not happy about. We'll see though, I will keep you posted.

I ran into JoLynn Anderson at Fry's on Saturday night. We talked about you of course and Nate who is going to Tacoma in September. She wanted to know what to send and what he could buy there. We had a nice visit. She told me that she loves your letters and that she even used something that you had said in your last letter as advice to a new outgoing missionary. She used the part when you said "sacrifice is giving up something for something better, and make a decision once and stick with it so you don't have to make it over and over". She loved it and thought that it was perfect advice. I get comments all the time from people who love reading your letters. Kathy Willis said "you work so hard and have such a great attitude that you deserve everything good that comes your way". Ann Smith said "thanks for sharing Bridgett's letters, I look forward to reading them each week, she is amazing". Allen Willis, "thanks for sharing Bridgett's letters with me, I love seeing her grow in the gospel and hearing about her adventures". Thought you'd like to hear their kind words.

I think I told you that Meg (Cecile's sister) went in to labor 2 months early. Well they tried very hard to keep the baby in longer but he was born last Wednesday. He weighed 3 lbs 15 oz but he is doing really really well. He is till in the hospital where he will be for awhile until he gets stronger and bigger but overall he is doing great. His name is Arthur George after both of his grandpa's. Lacey Asburry had her baby on June 15th, a girl named Aspen Magnolia, 8 lbs 2 oz. Thoughts?

Today was Father's Day as you know. Shaun and Madeline came over, so did Bryce. Cecile went to see her dad which is expected. We had a really nice day. No one fought and Madeline was super sweet. She talks like crazy and just makes herself right at home. We had shack burgers and corn on the cob. Shaun cooked. Super yummy! Dad was able to get a good picture of all of us so I have attached it here for you. Dad pulled up videos and we watched the one of you getting your wisdom teeth out. Bryce and Shaun had never seen it. They laughed so hard! Good memories of a fun day. We missed you but had fun seeing you on the big screen!

I feel like I should leave you with a spiritual thought so here it is, this is the message from Relief Society today. "I think that we can all agree that life can be hard. We all have worries and problems that we have to deal with and they vary every day. Fortunately, we have a Heavenly Father who never intended that we would deal with the maze of personal problems , challenges and heartaches on our own. He made it possible that we could have access to godly power to help us  Our focus must be riveted on the Savior and His gospel. If we keep our thoughts to Him always our doubts and fears flee and answers to our problems will come to light". This is a great reminder that we are not alone even though it sometimes feels that way. We have help and comfort if we just ask. I find it hard sometimes to pray and ask for help, I feel unworthy of this blessing. This is something that I need to work on.
I hope you have a great week and that every good thing that you deserve comes your way.

Love ,

Glad Meg's baby is ok. What is his name? I had no idea Lacey was even pregnant?! Stupid name.

Sounds like a good fathers day! Cecile didn't come over at all? Funny that you watched my wisdom teeth videos...i thought they had seen them already! guess not! that was the best day of my life.
