Follow Those Promptings

Hi friends!!

BIG NEWS: Sister Perry is being transferred!! It feels weird that we were only together for 6 weeks and I'm already getting a new companion! Also, I'm kind of nervous to take over this area when I don't feel like I know it super well yet...we will see how it goes!

We found 3 new investigators this week! Yay! One is Mike...his family was a referral given to us. They seem very open and know a lot of LDS people. Another is Dane, he is the son of a less-active family who wants to be baptized so we are teaching him! Then we have Josiah. He is a former investigator. We went over the other day and helped him shovel manure and move chickens. I dropped his chicken and then he didn't try to give me anymore...oops, haha!

The other day, we decided to randomly pop in on this family in our ward because we didn't know them very well. We were expecting it to be a little awkward just because of the randomness and thought we would leave after about 10 minutes. Well, when we walked in, the wife came up to us, hugged us, and with tears in her eyes, she said "I don't know why you are here but thank you for following whatever told you to come." Then they basically poured out their life story on us. It's so weird, yet cool, how people do that. They just trust missionaries and recognize that we are representatives of Jesus Christ. Anyway, when we left, they thanked us again for coming and said it was an answer to prayer. God truly does answer prayer, and it is often through other people that he does! 💛

I hope you all enjoy conference this weekend! I know that when Jesus Christ was on the earth, he established His church and chose 12 worthy men to be His Apostles. After Christ's death and resurrection, He continued to guide the Apostles through revelation. I am so grateful for the Prophet and Apostles we have on the earth today and the opportunity we have to hear their words this weekend! I know that God isn't the author of confusion (Cor 14:33) and he has given us tools and a clear path to return to live with Him.So as we live the church Christ has established and follow the council of our Prophet and Apostles, we will be led back to Him!

Love you all, have a great week!
