Sister Brush

Lots To Say

Hi everyone!

Ok so Sister Brush and I have been thinking. Missionaries do some pretty weird things at people's doorsteps. You know, since we knock on doors all day and wait there forever. Or maybe it's just us. Allow me to illustrate: Last week Sister Brush brought to my attention that my eyes are red like all the time. So we went to this gas station where I bought eye drops. I didn't have a chance to put them in right away because I was driving, so I opened the package and Sister Brush was kind enough to put them in for me while we were standing on someone’s doorstep. No one was home...maybe that's a good thing. (Update: my eyes are whiter than they have been in WEEKS...maybe months?) Also, a couple days ago I sat on someone’s porch and took off my shoes. (There were rocks in them) And occasionally we will take pictures or dance around a bit. Gotta do what you gotta do ya know?

Oh my gosh, on Saturday we helped this family move and we were moving boxes out from under their house and I can't even express the amount of dust that entered my lungs. Then we couldn't even shower until that night. That's ok! In other news…since my arms haven’t seen the sun in 6 months, my arm hair turned dark, they are no longer blonde. Do you know what this means?? I’M A GORILLA! The struggle is real!

Investigator news: Larry's wife texted us and cancelled our lesson. We were disappointed of course but then she invited us back to have dinner and a lesson with them later this week! We were not expecting that! Dinner with an investigator...woohoo!! Alexa was planning on coming to church with her boyfriend Craig, who is the grandson of a recent-convert in the ward, but they have a dog and we couldn't find them a cage for it...maybe next week? Carmen bailed on her lesson and we couldn't find Courtney. That's ok; I have faith that this week we will be able to see them!

We also had a lesson with a former investigator this week, Daniel. We went on a walk and brought a member with us who is basically a walking encyclopedia. He is a genius. Anyway, he taught basically every doctrine, principle, and aspect of the entire Gospel of Jesus Christ in like a half hour. If I wasn't converted before, I am now! It just makes sense!

There is this really great family in the ward and the dad had a brain aneurysm last week. They were definitely expecting brain damage, and honestly weren't sure if he was going to make it. The whole ward fasted on Wednesday and now they are expecting FULL recovery. He won't be able to go back to work for about a month but how incredible is that?! A nurse said that he has never seen anything like it. There is power in fasting and prayer, and God works miracles TODAY!

I know that God lives and that he speaks to us today through a modern day prophet! I know that he blesses us with tender mercies every single day, and if we look for it, we can see miracles in each day. So look for them! And write them down! That way, we can look back and see how blessed we really are! Alma 26:37 "Now my brethren, we see that God is mindful of every people, whatsoever land they may be in; yea, he numbereth his people, and his bowels of mercy are over all the earth. Now this is my joy, and my great thanksgiving; yea, and I will give thanks unto my God forever. Amen."

This letter is kind of random and scattered; I just had a lot to say. Plus, I had to make up for last week...haha!

Love you all, have a great week

As you will see in the attached photos..
-Our investigator found a 7-foot teddy bear in the dumpster and is now selling it, so naturally, we took a picture.
-A little girl drew a picture of Sister Brush and me at dinner
-We found super cute walls on Main St. and had fun with that
-I am on strike and not going to wear tights or boots, hence the flat shoes.
