I didn't get to email yesterday because #mlkday but I'm here now!
Fun fact: Tracting works! So here's the thing. I developed a bad attitude about tracting before I even tested it out that much. So since we seriously need to find people to teach we tracted a bunch this week. In one day we found 3 solid potentials! I know Heavenly Father will bless us as we faithfully show Him we are willing to work! So one of them was this guy Fred. He opens the door, we introduce ourselves, and he says "Oh, can you come back tomorrow at 5?" For those of you who aren't aware, that doesn't really just happen. We go back and his wife answers. Apparently it wasn't a good time but she told us to come back today because she "has family that is LDS, they have been talking about it, and she really wants to hear our message." YES! Stay tuned.
Ok so we had "family night" and a lesson with Tiffany on Sunday night. She kind of stresses me out because I don't know how to resolve her concerns. She has an ex-husband and she feels like if she goes all in with the church, it will pull her away from her daughter. Valid concern. Waiting for the spirit to help us know what to do! Bonus: We had a giant piece of Costco chocolate cake and ice cream after so that was exciting.
Tomorrow we have a zone conference. For those of you who don't know, at zone conference we receive instruction from our leaders on whatever they feel we need to hear. Things like how to improve as missionaries, like with contacting or working with members or whatever, or motivation, really anything. I like them and usually come away with good ideas and a lot more motivation to do and be better. Though I must say I don't like when we have to do role playing. Kind of not my thing. Rumor has it that there are some changes coming so STAY TUNED for that!
Also, the assistant's and zone leaders came to our baptism last Saturday. They asked me how long I've been in this area, then they said "well that's gonna change soon"! So I see a transfer in my future.
I HELD A CHINCHILLA THIS WEEK! Picture included. I cannot even begin to describe how soft this animal was. Literally the softest thing I've ever touched.
We road-tripped down to Everett this week for Sister Brush's doctor appointment. It was really fun to get to see Washington outside of a 20 mile radius. The ride down there is so pretty! I tried to take a picture in Everett but it didn't turn out too great. Oh my gosh and after we went to Jimmy Johns! It's been 5 months too long to go without Jimmy Johns!!
Love you all, have a great week!
