#LIGHTtheWORLD

This week was crazy. I got a new comp! Her name is Sister Brush and she is from Chandler, AZ! What?! She has been out for almost 5 months...I have been out for almost 4. Not sure why two baby missionaries were put together but whateva! We are figuring this out together!

So on Saturday Cody Ransom and his little brother got baptized! They are the coolest 11 and 8 year old I know! Their family has been less active and that's why Cody wasn't baptized before. But They have been coming back to church and their dad just got the priesthood to baptize them! Minus a few technical difficulties because new missionaries forget things sometimes, it was so good! Their dad bore his testimony on Sunday and the spirit was seriously so strong!

Then on Sunday, Adam got the priesthood and baptized his daughter, Maribel! Holy cow was that the coolest experience. TEARS FOR DAYS! Maribel just wanted her dad to baptize her and had the faith that it was possible when no one else really thought it would happen! But it did!!

Also, on Sunday, I gave a talk on this years Christmas initiative that the church released. #LIGHTtheWORLD in 25 Ways. Over 25 days. The initiative begins December 1st with a worldwide day of service and encourages people everywhere to give service daily during each of the 25 days leading up to Christmas. Elder David A. Bednar said "What we hope people will do is not simply think about the Savior during this Christmas season, or even just learn more about him. What we hope is that they will come to know him by doing what he did." I love that! Our purpose here on earth is to become like Jesus Christ, and what better way to that than serve as He would serve. Also, President Thomas S. Monson said, "As we follow the example of the Savior and live as He lived and as He taught, that light will burn within us and will light the way for others." The Savior is the light of the world and we can emulate that light as we follow His example!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! I ate the best sweet potatoes of my life so I'd call it a success. Have a great week!
