Keep On Keeping On!

Hi Friends,

My companion and I are sitting right next to each other but are instant messaging as we speak. How was your week?

It's safe to say this week has been slightly emotionally unstable for some of us. I hit 15 months and Sister Knaphus had a bad dream. BUT HEY I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY.

So we met a guy, Chuck, who lives literally 2 seconds from Canada. Like, I kid you not, if we missed his turn, we would be stuck in border crossing. Chuck said "I'm never going to change." then we told him about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and we have a return appointment for Thursday. That's what I'm talking about. But seriously, the light and love of our Savior Jesus Christ has the power to change lives and I love being a part of that.

Yesterday in church, a 16 year old girl was giving a talk about charity. And I quote, "I'm pretty sure if God can help Nephi build a boat and find a wife in the wilderness, He can help me love my enemies." Sister Knaphus and I about died laughing.

Another highlight of the week: We FINALLY had a second lesson with one of our investigators, Cindy! She is from the south and has the thickest accent you have ever heard. A few weeks ago, we had a conversation about the gospel over some stale homemade bread a neighbor gave her, and we gave her a large print copy of the Book of Mormon. She is already in Mosiah people! She loves it. She has no family nearby so she really wants to come to church so she can have people. Good thing we call it a "ward family."

Update: My companion and I just typed a message and sent it at the same time and it just so happened to be song lyrics in the correct consecutive order. #compunity

It's gonna rain all day, everyday this week. Wish me luck fam. But actually I love the rain and we have a happy light. It works. HAVE A FANTASTIC WEEK FRIENDS.

"Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough"

Love,
Sister Hilton

Pictures:
So I failed to take pictures this week. Plus, I forgot my camera so it wouldn't have mattered anyway. But hey enjoy more pictures from zone conference! Also, me holding a giant lizard!
