Last Week in the MTC

can't believe I am actually going to Norway!!! We leave Monday, I just finished packing and now I just can't wait any longer! I am so excited to get there and to just start getting to work and taking a million pictures!!!

This week has been interesting, We got new missionaries in our zone yesterday. There are 14 sisters and 2 Elders split for Denmark and Finland. We won't get to see them much before we leave but it's been fun to see a whole bunch of new faces and think back to how we all felt when we first got here. The MTC is the most interesting place in the world in my opinion. It's just this place full of 18-20 something's trying to figure out how in the heck to be missionaries. There's a lot of laughing at ourselves and each other and lots of crying. Elders and Sisters!! HAHA! I loved the MTC so much though. There really isn't anyway to describe all of the experiences or everything that I learned but I will say that I learned so much about my weaknesses and realized that weaknesses are awesome because when we are humble and recognize them and ask for help from our Heavenly Father life just kind of becomes awesome. It kinda sucks in the middle of the experience but once it all clicks man there's just nothing better.

So the other day one of our teachers, Sister Isaksen (from Oslo) actually spoke the speed she normally would and we all just looked at each other and pooped a little because we were like okkkkk so I actually don't understand Norwegian at all unless it's going to be from someone who talks slower than a toy with a dying battery. So that will be interesting. HAHAH but it will be fine. One thing that I learned from everything at the MTC is that they really aren't my words or my lessons. I can do a lot to study and prepare. But the lessons that Sister Geddes and I have where we just the spirit take over are pretty cool to be a part of. I know that the Holy Ghost is a real power and that we can feel prompted and be guided by our Father in Heaven through the Holy Ghost.

So the other day Sister Landry took us outside for class and we all went a little delusional and were like overly happy because we have been wanting to go outside for class soo bad. We played Simon says in Norwegian and it was just a grand old time.

Another outside story so Sister Geddes and I were studying and there was this bee that I swear was out to get me. I just sat there and I was paralyzed by fear because I have never been stung by a bee and I am pretty sure if I was I would be deathly allergic. I am terrified of bees. The thing just kept landing on my arm and my nose and it's seriously a miracle I didn't die that day.

I heard that it's trump and clinton. Someone please inform me on this. If it's either of them I will do my best to come home but I don't have any guarantees and if one of them is president than I will just befriend the king and queen of Norway and get you all over to NORGE!

Ok so last story because my fingers are about to fall off! Soster Geddes and I did partner yoga so when we were teaching our teacher/investigator we tried to explain what we did that day and he thought we said like couple yoga so we had to have this whole discussion on nope we are "companions" but definitely not a couple!!! hahah

I just want to thank you all for being the best family and friends in the whole world. It is very hard to be away from you all but today in the temple I read a scripture in Doctrine and Covenants section 100

1:Verily thus saith the Lord unto you, my friends Sidney and Joseph, (I substituted my name in there) your families are well; they are in mine hands, and I will do with them as seemeth me good; for in me there is all power.
4:Therefore I the Lord have suffered you to come unto this place (Norway) for thus it was expedient in me for the salvation of souls.

In the MTC it's hard to remember sometimes how truly important missionary work is. We stay in the same room all day and we lose track sometimes but it became so clear to me in the temple today. Although with all my heart there are times I just want to come give hugs and talk to everyone I know that this is such a short time in the big scheme of things. I will do my best to keep in touch! Please keep emailing and I will email back:) Love you all!!!
