Thank you all so much for your emails, I love them so much and have emotions when reading them :) I also hope you all had a great Father's Day! (Especially you dad ;) )
Sister Barton and I taught the lesson in Relief Society last week which was on endure to the end. Some points I loved were "the Doctrine of Christ (faith, repentance, baptism/sacrament etc) is a CYCLE not a CHECKLIST" and "we cannot endure to the end without Christ".
A spiritual experience which I didn't want to share with the whole email list was this week becoming more Christlike. I mentioned last week having trouble with patience with the elders and my mom gave me great advice, as well as the branch president on Sunday when I told him. Something that the branch president said just calmed me and snapped everything into place and I feel so calm and happy now and I haven't fought the chorotachi since and been more patient and kind. The Lord blesses you with attributes if you ASK for them and TRY your best! Also! Don't suffer alone - we have a great support system with families/the church so ASK FOR HELP because God works through angels.
We've become really close as a zone and it was hard to have our senpai leave but I know that they will be doing great things in Japan! We had a kickball tournament with them last week and a great last Sunday :)
Also, volleyball and four-square are now my FAVORITE. During volleyball, our district teases Hill Shimai because she says Black Shimai's name like a Pokemon: like "GO BLACK SHIMAI"! And so we've been saying: "Go Titel (said like Tidal) USE WATER!"
It's been a really good week and I'm really trying to be the most obedience missionary. Our mission president said to the zone leaders: When the other missionaries follow you, they should be following Christ. I really want to be an example to the other missionaries and also show the Lord that I'm going to be obedient and He can trust me.
