This past week we went to Oslo for a mission leader conference and it was amazing! I always learn so much from my mission president and also from the other missionaries. The spirit was very strong during that conference and I just had so much love for president and sister Tew during that time. They really are amazing and care so much for us missionaries!
We had Stake Conference this past week and a man named Elder Phillips who is an area seventy, came and spoke and it was AMAZING!!!! I am so grateful that I was able to listen to him and feel of his love that he had for everybody that day! He said a couple things that have really stuck to me...like.."Repentance is not a punishment but it is about change and becoming better." Everything that he said was very personable and directed towards us. I know that we sometimes think that the repentance process is a bad thing, but we all make mistakes and should all be striving to become a better person. I sure am, and it is a never ending process, but that is why we have the Savior who is always on our side and loves us no matter what!
My mother has been very good at sending me quotes every week, and one that I really love is from our loving prophet, President Russell M Nelson.
President Nelson: In a coming day, you will present yourself before the Savior. You will be overwhelmed to the point of tears to be in His holy presence. You will struggle to find words to thank Him for paying for your sins, for forgiving you of any unkindness toward others, for healing you from the injuries and injustices of this life. You will thank Him for strengthening you to do the impossible, for turning your weaknesses into strengths, and for making it possible for you to live with him and your family forever. His identity, His Atonement, and His attributes will become personal and real to you. But you don't have to wait until then. CHOOSE TO BE ONE OF HIS TRUE DISCIPLES NOW. Be one who truly loves Him, who truly wants to serve and lead as He did.
Hope you all have an amazing week and always remember to strive to follow Jesus Christ and his perfect example! Figuring out who the Savior really is will change your life and might be the most important thing to figure out!
