This past week flew by.......like all of the other weeks unfortunately. I hit my ONE YEAR MARK on the mission on the 14th of February!!!!!
Time flies by soo fast! But I am soo thankful for all of the amazing memories, miracles, and experiences I have had since being on a mission! I would not want to be anywhere else then here in Norway serving the Lord!
This past week has been amazing and crazy busy!
We had Zone conference in Drammen this past week and it was amazing!!
This Transfer us missionaries here in Norway, have been focusing on "Finding" and being a missionary in Norway that is sometimes all that you can do hah. But it was really awesome being able to hear from President and Sister Tew, who I just love soo much, and their thoughts about Missionary work and how we can all improve and be better!
Before we had to take the train to Zone conference in Drammen we met with Fred a guy that we are teaching. It went extremely well and he is just really positive and loves learning more! He began to cry when we talked about how we all have a purpose in this life and that there is a Loving God who cares about us so much! He told us that that was so good to hear because he thought that their wasn't really a meaning to life!
It just testified to me even more, how blessed we really are to have the knowledge of "The Purpose of Life" and that there is a Loving God who watches over us always.
Fred was able to came to church this past sunday and he said he loved it and the feeling that he felt while he was here! He wants to keep coming EVERY SUNDAY!!!!
Søster Stansfield and I also sang "A Child's Prayer" together because it was mothers day here in norway!
I thought it went really good (even though I am not really a singer lol) we sang it in norwegian and english and before we sang it I explained in the beginning why we chose this song. I talked about how my mom and I used to sing this song together when I was scared and frightened about life! And just how that memory and this song has helped me through out my life!
So that was really amazing! Thank you mommy!!! You are the greatest!
After church was over we taught these 2 super sweet little girls, Isangela who is 12 and Flora who is 11. They both have not been baptized yet but really want to become baptized. They have been coming to church for a long time because of their Grandpa but they just haven't gotten the opportunity to be baptized yet! Anyways, we taught them the First lesson and they really loved it!! We asked them if it would be okay if we could teach them the lessons everyday after church so that they can be ready for baptism! They are soo excited!!!
We also met with Agata again this week and she invited us over to her house to eat dinner and meet her Boyfriend! The meeting went really good and she is so positive and so kind! We had a really nice time with them and share a thought from John 14: 18,27 and talked about God and his love for all of his children and that we don't need to fear but have peace in this life! They loved it!
Søster Stansfield and I are teaching 6 People right now!
We are also meeting with a lot of returning members right now and helping them find their testimonies again! The work is POPPING or GROWING here in Norway!!
26 And now behold, I say unto you, my brethren, if ye have experienced a achange of heart, and if ye have felt to sing the bsong of redeeming love, I would ask, ccan ye feel so now?
27 Have ye walked, keeping yourselves ablameless before God? Could ye say, if ye were called to die at this time, within yourselves, that ye have been sufficiently bhumble? That your garments have been ccleansed and made white through the blood of Christ, who will come to dredeem his people from their sins?
I love this scripture and know that if we all strive to have a change of heart and really humble ourselves before God, He will answer us. I have seen it and know this to be true!
I love you all and hope you have an amazing week!! Keep smiling and having fun! We are here on this earth to have JOY and fun!!
