Sister Hall

hello everyone!I hope everyone has had a great week! This week was crazy! Tuesday sister hall and I got stuck inside. we had 12 inched of snow and 55 mile an hour winds. Needless to say all we did was try and make phone calls and stay in our pj's all day. I haven't ever seen so much snow in my life. On our way to district meeting on Thursday we saw three cars still stranded and stuck in the snow because of the blizzard! I cant believe people actually went out in the crazy storm! I had to give a training this week in district meeting on tender mercies and how we show gratitude to god for them. It was really cool to study and too see how much the lord does bless us with if we just look around us. I challenged everyone to write down with their companions five things they are thankful for every night before planning to show gratitude to our heavenly farther. I have been doing this for almost a week now and I have been able to see a change in myself and just be grateful for the little things. Transfers happened and I got a new companion. Her name is sister Gershin and she is a convert of about two years too! It has been so awesome to have someone who I can actually really relate to out here in the mission. I remember when she first came into the area and President Gardner told me that we would probably be companions and now we are and I am so excited. Her parents are Jewish and so she doesn't get much support from them. I am so excited to get to know her more. The first night she was here, she got out of the car and tried to jump over this huge puddle of water and totally missed and got soaking wet! She got pack in the car and said " we need to go back to the house.. I just went swimming." the water I guess was above her boot line and so we went home and she had to barrow some on my clothes.. it was so funny and broke the ice right away. Also! sister Petersen ( my trainer) is now my sister training leader! So we will be able to go on exchanges and stuff like that! I was so excited I pretty much cried. We are actually going over to their house tonight to spend the night! Tomorrow is zone conference and because so many of us live super far away we are all spending the night! There will be at least 3 or 4 sets of us all having a huge sleep over. IM SO EXCITED. I heard about all the cool things that you got to do in this area. I guess living super far away from everything has its perks after all! I am so excited to be at the beginning of a new transfer with Sister Gershin. I Know that this area is going to just blow up! I cannot wait to see the progress it will have. Our first time teaching together we taught the restoration to a 18 year old named Cole. we invited him to be baptized and he said yes. It was awesome to see that the lord is still preparing people in this area! I am so excited to be here and to be working with my wonderful companion! Its a good day to be a,sister smith
