Hey Family! I don't have a lot of time today but I wanted share a very important lesson I learned this week. The importance of opposition.
This week, for whatever reason, Satan has decided to attack everyone that we are teaching! It has been so hard to watch these people, who we love so much, struggle. It has also been so humbling to witness first hand that through the furnace of affliction, the Lord strengthens us. Each of these people have grown so much as they have had to turn to the Lord for their support. They are each building a foundation in Christ that can't be made any other way than through their own experiences. ITS BEAUTIFUL! I know that it is through our Savior Jesus Christ that we can find lasting peace and true joy!
I love you all and hope that you have a great week!
PSI almost forgot about this crazy miracle! This Sunday we had a lady just show up at church! We had never met her before. She was looking for a church to go to decided to stop in. The only problem was that she just moved her from Haiti and she speaks very little English. She speaks French but we didn't know anyone that spoke French...So the entire time we are trying to communicate with her and I am just praying for the gift of tongues! Sadly I didn't magically speak French :( BUT! Half way through the sacrament meeting I look over at her and she is sitting there, nodding her head and just really enjoying the meeting! Somehow she was understanding what was going on but more importantly she felt the spirit speak to her that this is the true church! We are going to teach her this week! Hopefully we can find a French speaker to come with us...Who knows...I could come back speaking French!
