Week of Humility

This week has been crazy full of miracles and I don't eve know where to start!
We have an investigator named Edward who is planning on being baptized this month. He is just ton fire. He understands everything and is just so humble and ready to change. We taught him the Word of Wisdom and he gave up coffee that day! Then we taught him about eternal marriage and he broke up this this girl that he has kind of been dating because that's what he wants and he knows that she is not going to give him that. He just amazes me because he loves the Lord so much and is just willing to give up anything for Him.

We have a deaf family that we are teaching in Baltimore. They live in a pretty tough situation. They honestly don't have anything and the dad just lost his job. Even with all of this stuff happening they are so faithful! They tell us all the time that everything will work out. They just need to be patience. Well they have been trying to come to church for weeks and this week they were able to save up enough money to buy a rental car and come to church. This was just such a humbling experience. They have put the Lord first in everything they do and things are starting to fall into place for them and blessings are being poured out upon their family. Henry, the dad who is a member, bore his testimony about how he knows the gospel is the most important thing in his life and that since he has made these changes in his life he can feel the difference within himself and his family.

It has been amazing to see the blessings and miracles that come from putting the Lord first in our lives. Both of these investigators have been a huge example to me of what it truly means to sacrifice everything for the Lord. The things I am learning and the way the Lord is changing me is so invaluable. There is a quote by Elder Bednar that says something along the lines of, "This is not a sacrifice, this is who you are". That is so true! Serving a mission, being apart of these amazing experiences is part of who I am as a daughter of God and is shaping me into who I need to become. This is just so amazing! I love seeing how the Lord is blessing me everyday. I hope you all have a great week! I love you!!!!
