good morning! its early but i recieved transfers this morning! im leaving villa floresta !
me voy! Its called trankeloken I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO SPELL IT HAHA its in the country. the areas in this zone have houses for churches with like 5 members. it will be fun!! (We looked it up—its really called Trenque Lauquen and is about 200 miles north of Bahia Blanca) im excited for what awaits me, im a sad to leave villa floresta becasue this area is literally gold, but i know im heading to a place that needs me now
hermana ortiz froms my ward is awesome! She is in contact with my mom and they are messaging in Spanish and she sends pics to my mom.
im really excited for this next transfer with a new comp and new area!! i learned ALOT and i know how i want to serve my mission and i know how i want to end it. im serving my 18 months with all my heart and mind and strength and nothing less. if im going to leave my home, family, friends, language i intend to do it right. im happy to be serving my mission and i intend on doing so with obedience and diligence. this morning i got to see my second trainer, hna rosas in the mission office because she is ending the mission and going home to Lima. i cried and was so happy to see her! she is literally my best friend of the mission and we talked alot and reflected and i am filled with love and happiness to have seen her one last time and i am happy to be a missionary
but this week was a good one! we had a baptism this saturday with our investigator vida and it was so special! something i have learned in this area is the importance of missionary work in the ward. literally the life of this missionary is SO MUCH EASIER when the member contribute and do their part in the missionary work. you dont need a plaque to spread the word of the gospel or help the missionaries. so please i beg you all... help the missionaries! give them lunch, go to all their baptisms, accompany in lessons, and be a friend to their investigators! it relieives to much stress and makes life so much easier! this area i was in was really helpful with the missionary work. in the baptisms TONS of members came and the whole family of vida who arent members came to the baptism and tons of members brought cookies, cakes, juice and were really awesome! and tons of members were talking with the family of vida and inviting them to have dinner with them one day or to have family home evenings! and we didnt even have to ask! they did it with their own free will! when a ward is united and focused on the missionary work it can strengthen a ward in so many aspects and can bring many great blessings! i can promise all people who maybe have a kid serving a mission if you feed the missionaries your child will never go hungry in the mission!
so on a broader term love all and honestly be a friend to all because it can go a long way and can help alot. many people need an example or someone in their life that could help them. the baptism this saturday was beautiful and i was filled with thankfullness and love for the mission and for all the people i have come to know in the mission. my mission president and his wife could come to the baptism and get to know vida and her family! and the father of vida told my pres thank you because of your work and example, god sent these young women, these angels to help my daughter and to help my family come closer to god. when vida left the water the first thing she did was hug me and say thank you hna Bergsma, and i swear never have i loved a young girl like i love vida. it was so special and an amazing day.
thank you for all the love and support!
i will send pictures of the baptism and all next week when i finally have a camera again!
