Did Jesus Come Down In A Spaceship?

Aloha everyone!
This week was full of miracles, and rain... I feel bad for the people I meet every day because my hair is not having this humidity. Half the time I look homeless I swear.
We got transfer news and Sister Downs and I are staying together for another transfer here in Keolu! I love this area and I love her. Nothing is better than doing the Lord's work with one of your great friends.
This week Sister Downs and I got to do an activity with the Activity Day girls in our ward. (That's the girls ages 8-11.) They asked us a lot of questions about being a missionary and what we do. Then we played a game with them where we blindfolded them and fed them food. Nothing weird, just things like yogurt and cucumbers. We talked about how, as a missionary, you never really know you're going to be fed. And no matter what it is, you have to be grateful and pretend to like it. That's one of the biggest lessons I've learned.
We saw a miracle this week of having 2 investigators at sacrament! Keolu ward hasn't had an investigator at sacrament since Christmas Eve. It was a tender mercy for sure. It taught me that when we work our hardest, we might not get immediate results but they always come.
One of our investigators, Shawn, came up to us after sacrament and asked us, "so did Jesus come down in a spaceship?" It was so random it was a little hard not to laugh... We are pretty sure he might have been under the influence of something, but hey! At least he came to church right? We're taking baby steps here.
On Sunday before church I thought it would be a good idea to just wear my church shoes to proselyte... yeah NOPE. I think I got blisters within the first 10 minutes. I am forever grateful we get to proselyte in slippers. I ended up taking my shoes off and walking around literally barefoot. I looked like a real local girl. My companion was laughing pretty hard. It's a good memory.
This week I finished reading the Book of Mormon for the 2nd time since being on my mission. I have really come to love the Book of Mormon. From it, I have come to know Jesus Christ more and been able to become a better person. This week I also restarted the Book of Mormon because you can never read it too many times. A favorite verse of mine has always been 1 Nephi 3:7, "And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them."
It reminds me a lot of the scripture we read in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

I know that all things are possible through Christ and I am grateful to know that I am on His team. I love you all and I hope the best week for all of you!
