Kailua (Sister Downs)

Corinne Downs

Segways and Sunburns

Aloha friends & family! This week was so crazy busy, and also very eventful as you can guess from the subject line. We had a lot of fun these past 7 days with a surprise birthday party for me, interviews with our mission President, 2 exchanges, and zone conference in Laie.
I want to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday again! I had a great day.
I was able to go on exchanges with 2 great sisters this week. I had a lot of fun with them. The first exchange I went on was with Sister Sinclaire. She is from Sweden and has very porcelain skin. We were walking all day and we both got FRIED. I felt so bad- I'm the worst STL ever haha. See pic #1
This week in church someone said something that I LOVE:
"When the going gets tough, the tough get going."
Sometimes our days are rough and we want to just throw in the towel, but when we keep trying and put our trust in the Lord, we make it through triumphantly.
A scripture I found this week is 2 Samuel 22:33:
"God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect."
I love my Heavenly Father and I could not be doing this without Him. He gives me strength and comfort on a daily basis. I would invite all of you to pray to Him tonight and ask if He is really there. I know as you do that, you will feel of His love for you as His child. We are all children of God down here on earth gaining experience and knowledge until we return back to Him.
This week I also got to ride a segway. It was super fun. A member that fed us dinner gives segway tours in Waikiki so of course he has extra ones in his house.
I hope you all have a great week! Remember I love you all and continue to pray for you! Also, for the next 2 weeks I will be emailing on Tuesday.
