Sister Tucker

Fall and Institute

Hello,So, this week was the beginning of school for the children in Russia. And also Institiute for the young adults. The volunteers attend to help out in the class. We walked into the church building on Friday evening and found that there was an American there. His name is Jeff and he came to Russia with his University. He's from Arizona and he's a member of the church. We spent some time getting to know him and Sister Tucker translated the lesson for him. He came to church and participated in sunday school, even though he doesn't know Russian very well at all. He loves Russia and he's excited to be here in Omsk. We have an investigator with a baptismal date that we're trying to teach all the lessons to and we went to see her after church yesterday (because she didn't come and when we called to ask why she invited us over). When we got there she was just leaving to buy bread for dinner with us. Sister Tucker and I looked at eachother. We hadn't taught her about Keeping the Sabbath Day Holy yet, so it was really awkward. She is really funny and gets stuff mixed up sometimes. For the longest time she thought reincarnation was a thing and we tried to explain that it's not, but it finally took another member of the church to help us explain it. She's so wonderful and she has a big heart. I love her and I can't wait for her to be baptized. I am having a really hard time thinking of things to write about this week, but hopefully I will have more to say another time. I love you all! have a good week!-Sister Larson
