Ok, so this week has been so crazy and busy and we had a baptism! My first baptism on the Mission! I'll say her name is Linda because I can't use her real name. I met Linda the first day I got to Omsk. She's a babushka in her 60's. Her daughter found the church while she was traveling around Russia and she got her mom introduced. She's been investigating the church for 18 months and she's finally baptized! Her daughter was able to be in town for the baptism which really helped her to be more comfortable. She was a little nervous about the whole thing. She has a lot of faith and she's reading the Book of Mormon, coming to church, and just being wonderful!
So, our week was full of preparing for the baptism (I made cookies, banana bread and pumpkin bread because the volunteers are expected to bring the food) and emptying our refrigerator. The freezer had a ton of frost in it and we are currently in Novosibirsk for the next 4 days and we thought it would be a great opportunity to defrost it and make sure none of our food goes bad (one reason for the pumpkin bread. we ate a lot of food this week).
Anyway, that's all the time I have today. Talk to you all next week.
