One of my favorite things that I've learned this far in life is to try, try, try again. Life isn't perfect, but life is so good. We all have different trials in this life. Some seem to never end no matter how much effort we put in or how many leaps of faith taken. I've heard and seen people struggle through many different things even in Southern California. Many times I have been left speechless not knowing how to tell them to keep holding on, keep praying, keep trusting, keep going. We have a lady in our ward named Martha who has called us everyday for the last week about different things she is experiencing. We didn't know what to tell her. As she kept expressing her feelings, a scripture came to my mind in 2 Nephi 31:20. It reads,
"Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life."
I have so many examples of people in my life (most of you on this email list included) that emulate this scripture to a tee. How you press forward whiteknuckling to your faith in Christ, having the kind of hope that radiates through your eyes, and loving and serving others even when you haven't had a moment to yourself that day. Wow! I am amazed by each of you. Thank you!! I know this quarantine maybe difficult, many of you may have really enjoyed it too. I can tell you as a missionary I've definitely been on both sides. And guess what? It's okay!! Why? Because we've kept going. We've kept trying and we will keep trying. I'm grateful to be all in this together with each of you! I love you!!!!
This week went by very quickly! We felt like superheros haha We had several experiences where people called us out of no where to come and do service immediately. Because Heavenly Father knows His children, our schedules allowed time to help. Every time we got a called Sister Rosier and I would look at each other and say, "Suit up!" And then go change into service clothes and whip out our masks and off we went to "save the day". It was so fun. It's been cool to see the Lord's hand in our lives lately. I'm just so grateful. So many tender mercies and miracles. I'm grateful for the perspective Heavenly Father and the gospel of Jesus Christ provide. Have a good week! ♡
