Hope y'all have had a great week! Things have slowed down a bit. We had a really difficult time getting in contact with our friends which happens, but we are hopeful for this week. Some crazy stuff that has happened in the CA Newport Beach Mission in the last couple days though. For example, missionaries are getting TRACTED INTO.... people are literally knocking on the missionaries doors asking THEM about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.... this happened at least 3 times this week. How crazy is that!?! MIRACLES ARE HAPPENING EVERYWHERE!!!
We have had several meeting throughout the last week where I was able to receive tons of personal revelation, and I just feel so good. I honestly feel like I'm happier than I've ever been!! I don't have the words to adequately express how I'm feeling. Maybe giddy? Haha I don't know.
However, I DO know Heavenly Father is aware of each one of us and loves us so much. He really does have a perfect, personalized plan and I'm oh so grateful for it. One of my dad's favorite Christmas movies is the musical Scrooge. In that movie, there is a song where Scrooge is singing:
"I like life
Life likes me
Life and I fairly fully agree
Life is fine
Life is good
'Specially mine, which is just as it should be
Life's a pleasure that I deny not
I like life
Here and now ."
This is how I've been feeling the last several days. A scripture that I'm trying to memorize is Philippians 4:11 which reads, "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content." I encourage y'all to join me in focusing on living in the now, NOW. I know that as we do this we will have a better attitudes about our current situations. We will be able to recognize the joy that comes as we focus on Christ and the blessings we receive because of Him NOW. As President Nelson once said, "The joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives but everything to do with the focus of our lives." I love my Savior. I love the way living His teachings, His gospel makes me feel. I know the Church of Jesus Christ has been restored through the prophet Joseph Smith and that by the power of God he translated the Book of Mormon which is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know reading it will bring us closer to God than any other book I we abide by its precepts. I echo Ammon's words when he says at the end of Alma 26:16, "I cannot say the smallest part which I feel." I love you all!! Till next week<3
