My Last Time

Hello My dear family and friends!!

I hope you are all enjoying this quarantine and not eating too many cookies... like me. ;)
I have been home for 2 weeks now! I can barely believe it. I never knew how fast 17 months could fly and just how much one could learn and grow in that time. I wanted to send an email Thanking all of you for your wonderful support and Love during my mission. I was blessed because of your sweet emails and prayers. As I have pondered over my mission experience these last few weeks, I am filled with joy to my Savior, for providing me with all the amazing opportunities I had during my serve Him in Brazil and Uruguay...that I CAN learn a language... or 2 & to meet and serve among the most amazing people I have ever met!

I had an overwhelming feeling of love for my Savior the other day as I was studying a book called, "Because of the Christ on Calvary". Brad Wilcox has a way of explaining the Grace of Jesus Christ and the spirit filled my heart. I recalled so many times when my companion and I were able to defend Him and teach others about His immense love and mercy!!

I remember very fondly teaching a woman who had a disabled son about the role of Jesus Christ. She thought that we needed to suffer in this life, thinking that was why it was so hard, that we were here to learn through pain. In part that is true, but we know that it is BECAUSE of Christ that we do not NEED to suffer in pain. But we can rely on His lasting Grace and Mercy, becoming clean and pure through HIS suffering. We returned another day after that lesson and she told us how that knowledge of a Graceful Savior brought her so much peace. I know that He came into the world to redeem His people! I hope that I and all of us can live enjoying the peace that comes from the atonement of Jesus Christ. Not as though there had been no redemption made (Alma 11: 40-41). I know that as missionaries we are guided to find the chosen who are praying and seeking the light. I also know that God fills our mouths with the words we must say to bring hope and comfort.

I know that this is the church of Jesus Christ, that it is lead by men called of God to guide us today. I know with out a doubt that Joseph Smith saw God and Christ, that he spoke with them and because of that we have the Fullness of the Gospel. Lastly, I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers, no matter how big or small. He loves us. I love my mission.

My favorite mission scripture:
D&C 128:22 "Brethren, shall we not go on in so great a cause? Go forward and not backward. Courage, and on to the victory! Let your hearts rejoice and be exceedingly glad.....!"

Happy Easter!! I hope you all know how much I love you!! 🙂

Con Amor,
Hermana Anderson
