Cerro, Paso Molino

Hermana Kneeland

This week was our first week in Paso Molino, Cerro. It is a city 20 mins away from the city of Montevideo! It is part of the big city, we live across the street from McDonald's (funny enough) and we actually get to do temple tours with the people we are teaching! It is a huge area! I am so happy to be here. The ward is amazing! It is my first ward that we are not sharing with elders! :) I know that the Lord has a great work to do here in Paso Molino! Hermana Kneeland and I were able to see that this week as we got to work, meeting the members and talking to everyone. We were able to find so many people who were needing this gospel!

What can we do when we feel burnt out, abandoned, or Lost? These were the worries of the people this week, we found so many people struggling with these feelings. It's hard to see people like this because we remember the times when we too had to struggle with these feelings, I can only imagine what Heavenly Father feels like, as we know He cries when we cry, he knows exactly how we feel.

Our loving Father in Heaven desires to HELP us, to show us the light and ultimately SAVE our souls! He pleads that we reach out our hand to realize that His hand was already there. Sometimes we feel like we don't even have the strength to reach out. What can we do to be truly healed? This is a question that has come to my mind a lot this week, as we talked to people going through so many hard things but we have the answer, Jesus Christ! He is the true healer. Being healed by Jesus Christ is a double effort, it takes our broken heart and contrite spirit and a willingness to come unto him.

Just like the scriptures say, if we have faith the size of a chiquitito mustard seed we can move mountains.... That goes for our hand too. If we have the faith of the size of a mustard seed we can move our hand. Just enough faith in our loving, merciful, caring, and healing SALVADOR (Savior) He will be so much closer than we think! I love this thought. In 2 Corinthians 12: 7-10 Christ tells Paul that his power is shown through our weakness! We are weak, We are imperfect, We are broken, BUT Christ IS Perfect....When I am weak....I am made strong. I know that the atonement of Jesus Christ is to be felt. I know that we can feel the reality of our Savior's power. I know that we will not always see clearly but I know he can help us know what steps to take. His great atonement is incomprehensible and for that, it is meant to be FELT. Seek this Jesus! Seek his infinite love and power. I know that without His power I would not be here today! I have come to know that it is only through His great love that I can overcome my weaknesses! I love my Savior for that.

I hope this week we can feel a little more of this POWER in our lives, I hope that you can feel that we truly can be healed from whatever has happened or not happened!
I love you all! I know that this is Christ church.
I hope you all have a wonderful week!!!!
