How are you all doing? I hope you are enjoying the snow and the holiday festivities during this special time! It's been the best to share the gospel message during this Christmas season because of just how many people realize what they have been missing. This week we happened to find so many people just upset with their lives and with the world. The Savior offers a higher and holier way to live so we CAN overcome the world, through him! We don't have to stay sad, or stuck as long as we trust in the Savior, 2 Nephi 9:10 says, 10 "O how great the goodness of our God, who prepareth a way for our escape from the grasp of this awful monster; yea, that monster, death and hell, which I call the death of the body, and also the death of the spirit." How victorious and wonderful is this escape! Not only from physical death but from all temptation and sin! He saved us, the escape plan is set. We just choose to follow it or not. This is what Christ helps us do, he gives us this path to follow so we can know how to escape! :) Joy to the World, Right?? He is our ESCAPE MASTER!
We had an exciting visit this week with our Mauricio, he didn't get baptized because he didn't feel 100% ready yet. He is living with a member, the friend who invited him to church, She offered him a room because she had vacant part of her house. Her named Gabriela. We went and had an amazing charla with them this week about the Plan of Salvation. Then after the charla, Gabriela turned to us and said, "We have some news!" They let us know that they have decided to get married!! They told us it is because they know it is what God would want!! We are so excited! :) It is amazing how the gospel opens doors for all people who choose it. Mauricio was living a whole different life until he decided to change and humbly follow Jesus Christ! He found an escape through Christ Gospel! I know that Jesus Christ has the power to change our lives and I know that he can make us better people. We are so blessed to have this knowledge in our live. I know he Lives!
