God is Good

Hello Family & Friends!! How are you all?

This week was awesome! I felt like the Lord was showering his blessings on us as we were exploring more our area and getting to know more people. We found that we were in the places we needed to be exactly when we needed to be there. There were two people in particular this week that really confirmed that we were in the right place and talking to the people that the Lord wanted us to talk to.

1) We were walking down the street and saw a lady sweeping outside her house and so decided to go and offer our help! She declined but we got talking to her about her life! She ended up opening to us about how a few years ago she had suffered a loss of her daughter, who was a still born. She has 7 kids in total but she and her husband really felt the loss of this child. She told us how much she is scared of death because of this experience and others in her life! Her husband took this experience especially hard and ended up giving up on believing in God. The spirit was present as we talked about the plan of salvation. How not only has God provided a perfect plan to redeem her daughter but she can be there with her WHOLE family someday! It was a moment where I also knew without a doubt that God is a loving heavenly father that wants his children to return to his presence! How wonderful it is to be able to tell this mother that her daughter is happy and waiting for her! Her faith was so inspiriting because she didn't lose it like her husband, she continued to trust in Heavenly Father!

2) On Sunday we decided to go and look for some references that we had found in the area book, people that we had never met and in our new area had no idea where they lived. "MAP TIME" πŸ˜€ As we were looking for the streets we got a little lost and we decided to ask for help, JUST SO there was a man smoking out side his house, so we went and asked him for some help! He didn't know who we were and started asking a bunch of questions! Invited us to sit down and chat with him. As we started talking with him his son-in-law (Rafiel) walked in and wanted to talk to us too! Turn out that Rafiel had talked to a friend of his who's a member about Joseph Smith and other beliefs of our church and had LOTS of questions. He first of all wanted to know about Joseph Smith! We were able to answer his doubts and questions, his first question being, "Where is the church that Christ left" After we left the charla Hermana Taufatofua was like "WOAH the spirit was SO strong in that charla" And it truly was! It's amazing how as we testify of the truth and teach the gospel of Jesus christ the Spirit does his job, and testifies to the hearts of those who are willing to listen! I know that the restoration happened, and I know the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is the true church on the earth today and I LOVE IT!

We had our multi-zone conference on Friday with President Dunford here in Paysandu. It was a wonderful conference!
ALSO it rained a TON on Sunday so they canceled our Sunday meetings! We stayed at home until lunch time studying. It was so WEIRD, but all is well. Who doesn't like extra study timeπŸ˜„

"Live the way that happy people live, Walk the path that happy people walk. Your chance for seeing the Lords hand in your life improves exponentially" - Elder Holland
I love you all so so much! Thank you for your testimonies and prayers, without them I don't know what I would do!

Have a wonderful Week,
Hermana Anderson
