Cheese, Fish and Weddings

HOLA! How are you all doing?

This week was a great week! It definitely flew by I have no clue where the time went!

The sisters in the other ward had a wedding this week! It was so beautiful! The sisters did a great job decorating the church! :) The couple had been together for about 3 years and they already have a little girl. The bishop gave some super great advice that came straight from the Family Proclamation to the World. The best part of the wedding is that now they can get baptized!

We were teaching a girl named Alexandra who has been dating a guy for about 2 years and they recently moved in together. We invited her to get married or move out again because she loves the gospel, but the law of chastity is the only thing keeping her from getting baptized. She is amazing and is super great with coming to church and reading the Book of Mormon. So We invited her to come to the wedding with us and she came with her boyfriend!! They were super happy for the couple and we saw them talking after the wedding...! We had to stop teaching her for now because she didn't want to get married or move out but I know that with time the Lord will continue to do his work! It is not always easy to stop teaching people because we grow to LOVE them so much and can see their potential way faster than they can , BUT we have to leave them with faith that they will progress when they are ready and ready to follow Christ with all their heart!

Now, the cheese. This week we had a great lesson with our favorite Robson. He is a 32 yr old man who works as a carpenter in his backyard! We had a great lesson about how the Book of Mormon testifies of the true church and helps us gain a testimony of Joseph Smith. He knows the bible super well and told us that 3 Nephi has a lot of similarities with John in the bible. It was a moment for us, like YES OF COURSE! Le dije! :) I know that the Book of Mormon is a testament of Jesus Christ. The promise that is in Moroni is TRUE! We can gain a testimony of Joseph Smith and Jesus Christ just by reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it! :) After our little charla, he stood up and was like, I have a present for you guys and he went into the other room. He came back with a huge round of cheese! Homemade cheese! He told us that his friend makes the cheese in her house and he wanted to give one to us to try! It was goood cheese!!! We ate it Chilean style with tomatoes and crackers. SO GOOD!!

I am so grateful for referrals. This week we got a referral from the Elder. They had talked to a guy in the street about the church and he told them that he wanted the missionaries to visit him. So we went! :) We got to his house and turns out that we had already taught his sister a few months ago! He told us that he wants a change in his life. He feels alone and realized that the choices he is making are not giving him the consequences he wants in his life! I know that this gospel is the answer. It always is. We left him with a Book of Mormon. We were getting ready to pray and leave and his sister was like, WAIT I have something for you.....She left and came back with a little bag.... it was FRIED FISH! I guess this is what happens when you take the Saviors invitation to be fishers of men, you get FRIED FISH! haha

Well these were some highlights of my week :) This week I studied about Samuel the Lamanite and realized that he is a super great example of a fearless missionary! So if you have forgotten his story read Helaman 13-16 :)

I love you all!!
Have a wonderful week!!
