Hermana Agular/ Hermana Padgett

Last Week in CCM

Hello my amazing friends and family!!

The weeks at the CCM consist of about 3 days I swear because it feels like Pday was yesterday but here we are again!! I CANNOT believe that in one week I will be in Uruguay. As the CCM comes to a close I feel so grateful for the knowedelge I have gained about spainsh (of course) but also how my testimony has grown so much. I testify that a daily study of the Book of Mormon and of the Doctrine of Christ WILL bring you closer to Him.

I am also so grateful for all the other missionaries here, especially my Nortes (North American companions), we are a little family and I love each of them dearly. This week in district meeting we were just having a grand old time laughing and joking and one of the Elders was struggling to write something on the board, so his companion yelled across the room, "If you don't stop doing that, I WILL HELP YOU". LOL we all died of laughter! That is just the perfect example of how loving and charitable all the missionaries are here. Amazing examples to me.

This week was really great! Learning more and more everyday. We teach "lessons" multiple times a day and I feel my spanish improving a lot with all the practice. The spirit is so strong in the lessons! I just can't wait to get out and teach real people!! :) I love a lot of the lessons, of course, but my favorite is the Word of Wisdom. I just love teaching that God gave us this amazing revelation for our bodies because they are gifts from him. This revelation keeps us safe from addictive substances and keeps our spirits healthy and able to hear the spirit. I am so grateful that we have a caring Father in Heaven who gave us this owners manual to our bodies!! :)

Sunday this week was so wonderful. We had testimony meeting and the spirit was so strong. I bore my testimony without any notes, just me and the spirit, and it went really well. The gift of tongues is VERDADERO (true)!!! We listened to a devotional by David A Bednar before the Christmas Devotional and it was perfect. One quote he said was about developing Christ like mentalities. My favorite part is "IF you think you can't do it, your right. We NEED Christ's strength and atonement." Only through Christ can we become more than we are right now. I testify that as we strive to develop Christ like attributes, asking for his grace and help, we will be successful!

The christmas devotional on Sunday night was amazing! The music was so perfect and wow powerful! Some of my favorite parts were:

Elder Vincen: If you think you are too small to make a difference, you have never spent a night with a misquito.

Elder Stevensen: An outward expression of your inward feelings of the Savior.

I loved these two quotes becuase they are all about service. We are all capable of making a difference, infact the Lord wants us to! He needs us to look out and serve others like he would if he was here. As I enter the field next week I plan on taking these quotes with me in my heart. They give me perspective and hope that I can make a difference, and its all because of my testimony of Christ.

The next time you here from me I'll be in URUGUAY!!!
Hasta Luego! :))
Un abrazo muy fuerte de Mi!
