Christmas Day, a Baptism, and a Partridge in a Pear Tree

Hey! What a good week! This week was so different than typical weeks, but also so good! It was strange being away from home for Christmas for sure, but this simple, special English Christmas will be held dear in my heart forever. I've never felt so much love from my Savior!

Stewart was baptized this Saturday! What a special experience that was! The Spirit was so, so strong. It was amazing. The second he came out of the water he had the hugest smile, ear to ear, and just gave me the BIGGEST squeeze ever. I love that man so much. He even invited a couple friends to come to his baptism! We talked to them after and they said they'd never felt anything like it. They were both at church the next day!

At church this Sunday I had the coolest experience. As I was sitting on the stand to bless the sacrament, and as we were singing a hymn, I just sat and looked over the congregation. I just felt a HUGE amount of love for every person there. We had all of our members, a ton of less actives, Stewart and his friends, Kim and her kids, and I just love them all. I have seen the growth all of them have made in the short three months I've been in Hastings, and I just know God is so proud of them. It was so cool. I love these people so much. Words can't describe it.

We had a "Danish" Christmas Eve with a family from Denmark this week too (shout out to my Danish relatives!). We danced around a Christmas tree that was, no joke, 3 inches tall haha. Not one person there was under 19. Picture 10 adults dancing around a tiny Christmas tree singing in Danish hahaha. SO FUNNY! Not something I would have pictured as being part of my mission experience, but hey I'm not complaining.

I got to Skype with my family this week too. I never realized the amount of love of I have for those people. Like wowza... I'm so blessed to have each one of them. God is so, so good to bless me with them. What a Christmas treat ;)

God is so good. He loves so purely, so perfectly, so completely. I am more and more grateful every day for the thousands of ways He has catered to my specific needs. He's never left me for two seconds. He's never left you either. There is no greater thing I could be doing than serving Him at this time in my life. What a massive honor that is. I love Him. I love you all too! Merry Christmas!

Cheers Y'all (am I allowed to mix British and American like that?)
