Elder Tokoragi

Blessings, on blessings, on blessings

Holy smokes. Is it just me, or does every week just get better and better? This week was so, so amazing. I seriously had back to back blessings every day. I felt the Spirit SO much this week. I usually don’t do this type of daily layout in my emails, but this week was so good I have to. OK, so here it is, best week ever.

Thursday: Had an awesome district meeting. It was so good. We learned about miracles, then I started my exchange with Elder Lopiano! He’s such a cool guy, and he’s from the US (Connecticut)! It was awesome.

Friday: Finished our exchange, and funniest part of the week. Before I hopped in the shower, Elder Lopiano discovered our magnet letters on our fridge and he asked if he could play with them. I was like, “sure.” So, I got out of the shower and he had written "Get low fam" on the fridge. I don't know why, but it made me laugh SOOOOO hard. It was just like the most random stupid thing and it made me die haha. It brought back memories of basketball and being told repeatedly to "Get Lower!" lol. I realize now it's not that funny…guess you had to be there.

Saturday: Ward Christmas party! Way different than the ones back home, but Stewart (investigator) was there! The members became friends with him so quick, it was sooo good. I love Christmas miracles.

Sunday: Church. Best three hours of the week. Since coming on my mission, church has always been the best! I feel like I've missed out my whole life. I guess my mom was right, I should have paid attention all those years in sacrament! Moms are always right ;)

Monday: Stewart had his baptism interview. One step closer to the amazing exciting day we will have! He's asked me to baptize him! What a special opportunity it will be to give the Savior this gift for his birthday! I love Stewart, I love the Savior.

Tuesday: Temple. Holy smokes. I didn't realize how much I missed it! Before my mission I think I had gone to the temple probably every week since I was endowed, so this is the longest stretch I've had without being able to go. I missed it. The second we pulled onto the temple grounds I was smacked with the Spirit. The power that I could feel was so unreal. As I went through the session I could just feel that God was proud of me. Boy do I love Him.

Well, sorry this is so long haha. I love you all, but more importantly Christ does. He loves you so much that He gave you the most expensive, perfect, personal gift ever. His life. All He asks us to do is use the gift! How are we receiving this gift He has given us? I'm trying to send Christ the message every day that I am so, so grateful. I show Him by giving my all for Him here in England. Give Him your all wherever you are! He deserves it!

I love you! Merry Christmas!

P.S. I'm sad I missed our friend Wayne Hardman's funeral, but glad to hear it went well. And guess what?! We found a new investigator this week named.......Wayne! Coincidence? I don't think so. ;)

1. Me, Elders Lopiano, Tokoragi, and Hogg after exchanges. We were actually outside mission boundaries haha. Rebels.
2. Don’t know who Amber Rudd is, but these things are everywhere.
3. My favorite place.
