This week was one of the craziest weeks of my life!!! So I told you about our recent convert João who is just the sickest kid on the block...love him! Last Friday he called us and he got kicked out of his house for no good reason. Elder Camagro, the Bishop, and I spent the last 3 days over at the house where he was staying trying to help console the whole crew and it's been just a huge headache and mess. Unfortunately, Joao is going back to São Paulo and he is really sad about it and we are too!!
Well we had transfers today and I'm staying here in Rosolem and will now be the DL and be training a new missionary which will be sweet!! I cant believe its Christmas season because it doesnt even feel like yet. In my personal study this week I was studying the life of Jesus Christ and I loved these verses in Matthew 26:36-39.
Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
My testimony of Christ in Gethsemane has been strengthened and I love how the Savior did the will of the father to the very end. I hope each of us can do a little more and go to the very end. I'm very grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and the Atonement. I know that each of us can be forgiven for any mistake we make. I love my mission so much!!
Happy birthday to the best Stake President in the world, Pres. Holmes and to my man Brody Purser, my cousin Tatum, my homie Antwan Ross-Jones haha and of course my little brother PETE!
Have a great week, I love you all!!
Com amor,
Elder C
