MONDAY: MLC in Albuquerque it was incredible! They started something new where the departing missionaries bear their testimony at the end of MLC. What an incredible spirit I felt. It was really bittersweet, but I am more determined to work towards the vision of the Mission, even if time is fleeting!
WEDNEDAY: We found 6 new investigators: including one child of an inactive mother. Hermana Openshaw felt impressed to knock a certain door as we drove by. The first lady was not too interested, but we knocked the second house and asked if she had ever met missionaries before... She said, "Yes! I'm a member, I'm just inactive." We came in and taught a short lesson. Her husband is Catholic and she confessed that she had just been thinking about coming back to church and teaching her kids about the church. What a miracle!
THURSDAY: We also attended the temple this last Thursday to do baptisms. Another amazing experience. The most incredible part, is that we asked Jose, "If his visit to the temple exceeded his expectations?", and he responded, "Well yes because I thought I was only going to do one baptism and one confirmation, but I did 15!" We were surprised by his faith to travel almost 9 hours only to baptize and confirm one individual! We visited him again last night, and he's committed himself to read 2 chapters of the Book of Mormon a day. He's on chapter 4 of 2 Nephi! We are so proud of him...
SUNDAY: We spoke in sacrament meeting and although we didn't have any investigators at church this week, but there were at least 3 less active families we are working with that came!! This week was miracle after miracle - not to mention we've received 5+ referrals in the last couple days.
"And if there were miracles wrought then, why has God ceased to be a God of miracles and yet be an unchangeable being? And behold, I say unto you he changeth not; if so he would cease to be God; and he ceaseth not to be God,and is a God of miracles." Mormon 9:19
I love you all! Have a great week!
