Transfer News! I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...

Happy Monday!

Sorry I forgot to mention last week that our Preparation Days have now been changed to Mondays - so I'll be writing on Mondays from now on 😃

TRANSFER NEWS: *Drumroll please*.....I am getting transferred to Alvarado Park Albuquerque Zone! ...And I got a Sister Training Leader Call! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!! I'm so excited to go up to Albuquerque and be an STL! It's a nice change up - but I know I will miss El Paso. I'm going all the way from the very bottom of the mission to the very top; Hermana Thompson is going to stay here and train a new missionary and I'm going to be with: Hermana Carlson! - we were MTC companions! One of the Sister Training Leaders serving here was just in the Alvarado Park area and said that it is the ONLY SPANISH AREA in the entire zone! So we will be the only Spanish missionaries covering the entire Albuquerque Zone! Crazy!!

This week flew by so fast! Since our Preparation Days are changed to Mondays, our Weekly Planning has been changed to Thursdays - so that threw some things off because we are used to planning on Mondays. But it was a good week - we hit our goal of 20 total lessons and we had our ward party!

We'd been planning a ward party for awhile, where we could invite friends and family and also do a tour of the church. It didn't turn out as successful as we hoped but the important thing is that the members and the missionaries were working together. There were a couple friends that came and we are excited to go and follow up with their member friends!

Recently we've been teaching a lot about the principle that God is our Loving Heavenly Father. It is so so sad to meet so many of Heavenly Father's children on the street and that they cannot accept or understand that God does exist and he does love us.

I have been reading recently in Alma, where it talks about Alma and Amulek preaching among the people. I love their determination and love for the people as they declare repentance! Missionary work often brings to mind the words of the Battle Hymn of the Republic:

"Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored. He hath loosed the fateful lightning of his terrible, swift sword; His truth is marching on.

I have read a fiery gospel, writ in burnish'd rows of steel
As ye deal with my contemptors, so with you my grace shall deal.
Let the hero, born of woman; crush the serpent with his heel. Since God is marching on

Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.

He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat.
He is sifting out the hearts of men before his judgment seat.
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer him; be jubilant my feet,
while our God is marching on.

In the beauty of the lilies, Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in his bosom that transfigures you and me.
As he died to make men holy, let us live to make men free, while God is marching on. "

Winter approaches rapidly as do fresh starts and new opportunities in every moment! Hope you are all doing well, I'll soon be reporting from Albuquerque New Mexico!! Love you all!
