3rd Zone Assignment, El Paso Texas

Everything Is Hard, Until It Becomes Easy

"Here is my major theme this morning: As evil increases in the world, there is a compensatory spiritual power for the righteous. As the world slides from its spiritual moorings, the Lord prepares the way for those who seek Him, offering them greater assurance, greater confirmation, and greater confidence in the spiritual direction they are traveling. The gift of the Holy Ghost becomes a brighter light in the emerging twilight." Elder Neil. A Anderson

This is from his talk: A Compensatory Spiritual Power for the Righteous given at last year's BYU Education week! Read it!

What a great week it has been!!! General Conference was AMAZING! Wow!! Since last weekend we have gone to the temple, had general conference and Zone Training. This week has been incredibly spiritually uplifting.

We have also found little miracles along the way: Our 14 year old investigator Madeline dropped us... 🙁 She was going to be baptized on the 8th but we talked to her mom and she preferred that she stay in the Catholic Church and so we're not allowed to see her anymore. It was really sad, because I know, I KNOW that Madeline felt the spirit and the love that came from us teaching her and church! ...But it's OK, she's got a plan and I trust that Heavenly Father has things in control.

This same night however, we stopped by a lady named Cynthia who we had met the week previous. We received a referral for her neighbor across the street but she's never been home, so we talked to Cynthia doing laundry in her garage. She ended up being pretty interested but cancelled last week appointment, so we tried stopping by and she drove in about 10 minutes later! We had a short lesson with her and we're going back to see her today! 😃 I believe in miracles!

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED GENERAL CONFERENCE! So many good inspired talks meant just for us! Some of the quotes I loved were:

"We are eternal beings without beginning and without end...we are of the royal house of Elohim, the most High God... The day of judgement will be a day of mercy and love...I am confident that we will not only be satisfied with, but astonished and overwhelmed by the love, mercy and grace with the judgments of God for His children who he loves." Dieter F. Uchtdorf

"I have received answers to my prayers, most often when my will has been silenced." Henry B. Eyring

"Even the darkest nights are dawns of light for the faithful." Evan. A Smuchtz

Love you all! Have a great week!
