Wow how the time goes so fast! This week has been so awesome and full of work! I'm so grateful for the opportunity I have to serve in this area and ward with my companion. I thank Heavenly Father every day for such this short time we have to serve Him fully; how much he trusts in us to do His work!
WEDNESDAY: The couple we knocked into last week - we taught them again this week; this time them and their two children! We taught the first lesson and the spirit testified so strongly again of the truth and power that comes from knowing God loves us and that the gospel is true! We taught and then invited them to baptism as they came to feel that the gospel was true. They have now accepted a baptismal date of September 10th, and we pray that they can move forward learning more and progress as a family! Oh how we love them so! The Cervantes Family!
We also stopped by an investigator whom we hadn't gotten to meet. We accidentally went to the wrong address; but it wasn't a coincidence! As we sat in the car about to pray a woman walking her dogs came toward us. We prayed quickly and started talking to her. Her name is Belinda and she's been through SO MUCH; but she has been fighting alcoholism and has been sober for almost a year! She has such a desire to change and we'll meet with her this week!
THURSDAY: We finally met our recent convert Ale! She's so cool! She is solid and has such a cool conversion story! It is so amazing to hear the stories of how other people have gained and continue to develop their testimony!
FRIDAY: District Meeting! We are trying to implement something new in the mission called BDAW = Before, After, During and Warning. These are phases of the lessons that we teach, in which we will pause and emphasize the role of the Holy Ghost in each parts of these lessons. It has been super effective and helped our investigators to progress and be aware of the spirit as they are being taught!
We have been working hard to visit members and get to know the ward. Oh what a strong and powerful spirit they have. We can feel the love they have for the Savior and resilient testimonies. We have been sharing this video a lot lately in our member visits, I hope you can watch it. We almost cry every time! Earthly Father, Heavenly Father
