Exciting News! We've moved - again! And we have a new car! And a new Mission President! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
We went on a hike last Tuesday in Dripping Springs. It wasn't too spectacular but a nice outing in nature!
On Friday we had a Meet the President Conference with President and Sister Guffey! They are so sweet - they are from Ohio! We also switched cars with the AP's at the conference and so we have our new Jeep - Hallelujah! We forgot to take pictures with it so we'll have some next week but it rides sooooo niceeeee. I named our car Optimus Jarvis.#offroading#fourwheeldrive
We officially moved in yesterday and we're so happy to have our own place again. What a wonder of the world it is to have a safe and clean home. We didn't do anything special for the 4th but how grateful I am for America's Freedom! I hope we all take time to appreciate the things we often take for granted!
The area is still struggling and Hermana Moss and I are working still to not be discouraged. We hope that this week will be more normal as we get settled in. I read Alma 26 to help us get pumped up and I love it! :
11 But Ammon said unto him: I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God.
12 Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast
of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.
26 But behold, my beloved brethren, we came into the wilderness not with the intent to destroy our brethren, but with the intent that perhaps we might save some few of their souls.
27 Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success.
37 Now my brethren, we see that God is mindful of everypeople, whatsoever land they may be in; yea, he numbereth his people, and his bowels of mercy are over all the earth. Now this is my joy, and my great thanksgiving; yea, and I will give thanks unto my God forever. Amen.
We also took some pictures with some women who have really helped us in these past weeks - Sister Whiting and Hermana Garcia. We are so grateful to them for letting us stay in their homes and helping us do missionary work!
