Ye Receive a Witness After the Trial of Your Faith

WOW. This week has been a crazy one.

Tuesday night we ended up finding out that we were supposed to move out of the apartments that we were living in and so we took everything we could and stayed with the other Sisters in their apartment for three days. The elders and the senior couple serving here immediately started searching for new housing and then told us that the next decent and available apartments in the area wouldn't come up until July 4th. So while life was kind of on the fly and all up in the air we have been trying to get a grip on this area that we're both pretty new to. We had been feeling REALLY STRONGLY that we needed to be working in the southern part of our area, which is about 20 miles from where we live. So we started to head down south and......OUR CAR BROKE DOWN. That's another long story......which is the fault of previous missionaries that were serving here........but we didn't have a car for about 3 days. So we walked everywhere in the 108 degree weather - woohoo! (I am so grateful to have our car back. For those of you serving in places where that is the norm, I pray for you everyday #drinkwater) SO THEN, we're running around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to figure out a game plan for how we're gonna get the Lord's work going in this area and our ONLY INVESTIGATOR dropped us........

This has been one of the hardest weeks in my mission - BUT we are so optimistic! This all happened for a reason, but we have a crazy opportunity to start with a clean slate! We've talked about it and seen that our trials this week have been a huge blessing. Even though we may not be able to see it all, we know good things are coming our way if we work hard like the Lord needs us too. We've also decided Satan's a punk and he's been working overtime - but so have we ๐Ÿ˜ƒ But Hermana Moss and I are so grateful to be serving here together. We both agreed that we'd rather serve in horrible areas with an awesome companion than in awesome areas with horrible companions. I hope God doesn't smite me for saying that.

We've been 100% postitive. And probably 250% sunburned. But these words from the Book of Mormon in Ether 12 ring true: "
6 And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.

7 For it was by faith that Christ showed himself unto our fathers, after he had risen from the dead; and he showed not himself unto them until after they had faith in him; wherefore, it must needs be that some had faith in him, for he showed himself not unto the world.

8 But because of the faith of men he has shown himself unto the world, and glorified the name of the Father, and prepared a way that thereby others might be partakers of the heavenly gift, that they might hope for those things which they have not seen.

9 Wherefore, ye may also have hope, and be partakers of the gift, if ye will but have faith.

We're so grateful for our trials and the opportunities that lay ahead of us. Haha we did in fact receive good news this week that in a couple weeks we'll be getting a JEEP COMPASS. WOW, never have I ever been so excited about getting a Jeep. This area's needed one for awhile to go down to the rough terrain in the Southern part of our area. IT'S GONNA BE SWEET. Our catchphrase that we shout randomly during the day to keep us positive and going is, "JEEP!" Haha hope your doing fantastic!!! HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!! WOOHOO!! Love you Dad!!! Best quote I've heard this week is from a Dove chocolate wrapper, it says, "Quote your Dad." I sure do, all the time๐Ÿ˜ƒ
